Allen, Texas — Commitment to community grows, as Patriot Athletes, INC., a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, announces a limited partnership with the Red Lamp Foundation, the official nonprofit partner of the Allen Americans Hockey Club to grow hockey awareness and community participation. In doing so, Patriot Athletes, Inc. brings their mission of “Support Through Sport” into the spotlight. This collaboration enables engagement with the community of veterans, first responders, and gold star family members to strengthen our relationship with the Allen community like never before.
This introduction got things rolling and Ben is glad to be a part of it. Owens said, “My Dad served in the Navy, so I’ve always had a great respect for our veterans. After coaching the first practice, I quickly found out this was a special organization with exceptional people and players. I have tremendous respect for the Falcons Hockey Team. I’m honored and excited to help grow their love for the game of hockey, while having a positive influence on our veterans’ lives.”
The passion and desire of Hastings and Rusnak for the mission of Patriot Athletes to “Support Through Sport,” inspired them to play on the Falcons team with Owens coaching. In just a short time, quite a difference in the team comradery, physical and mental health has sprung up. The Allen Americans organization has a history of supporting veterans through the years and this partnership is one of like minds and purpose.
Patriot Athletes is rebranding the Falcons Hockey Club and is proud to announce the Allen American Warriors (AAW). As a recognized USA Hockey Warrior Program, the club will introduce the Red Lamp Foundation, the Allen Americans, and the community of Allen to the entire country to spread the mission of Support Through Sport.
Ana Gonzalez, Vice President of Social Impact for the Allen Americans, is excited about this endeavor. “The Allen Americans Red Lamp Foundation is committed to supporting all aspects of our community,” Gonzalez said. “When we were approached by Patriot Athletes about this partnership, it was obvious that this will help veterans, athletes, and their families, thus keeping in line with our mission. It is a win-win for the Allen Americans, Patriot Athletes, and our community, as a whole.” This exciting partnership in Allen is a reflection of the respect for veterans in the community and beyond.
